A fantastic US bluesrock-quartet of the
exceptionally gifted guitar player Jeff Scheetz! Jeff Scheetz is not
well known to a large extent of the blues fan people yet, but around the
music fellows and the critics he has an immense high standard! No
wonder, what this guy can conjure on the six strings on his guitar is so
awesome. Inspired solos full of fire and virtuosity are granted on the
album as well as flawless, classic, firm, fat blues rock. Jeff Scheetz
developes a rhythmic and groovy sound from the heart included with
Roots- Funk and Southern elements. It rocks, it grooves with exploding
guitar solos between it. Melodic solos, rock from the 70ths, texas
shuffle blues, etc….you can feel the joy Jeff has in playing guitar.
The band mixes great together, they all have the high standard as well.
It is a high level they play at. Next to Scheetz, Ted Gardner with his
awesome omnipresent singing, melodic and sometimes aggressive Hammond
B3. The drummer Kent Burnham who pulls along everybody with his music,
and the great bass player Matt Waddhill who is also an excellent lead
singer. With his soulful vocal he brings in a lot to this album. Very
varied songs, easy to remember. It
is all full of power, energy, fire,….much like the classic rock like
Whitesnake or Cream. Always great guitar solos. The album also is
similar to things from Jimi Hendrix, Steve Ray Vaughan, Walter
Trout, Joe Bonamassa, Gov’t Mule, Allman Brothers, Doobie Brothers,
but the guys from the Jeff Scheetz band mix that together to their own
style. Everyone who likes the artists I mentioned, they will like this
album. Welcome to the first class league! Absolutely great!
